Position Description

What does a great Director, Product Management ? Credit Union Solutions do?


As the Director, Product Management you will ensure that Fiserv delivers competitive software solutions to Credit Unions, maximizes resources, and contributes in a predictable manner to the business results and strategic plan of the organization. Your role will lead all lifecycle management and product P&L responsibilities for a portfolio of Credit Union-focused solutions. This includes the coordination of market research, evaluation of technology trends, and translation of product strategy into a roadmap. In this leadership role you will investigate client issues and act as a liaison with Development and Account Management on the resolution of technical issues impacting clients. In addition, you will execute against key business success metrics, including financial targets, client experience metrics, etc.


As a Director, Product Management ? Credit Union Solutions, you can look forward to:



  • Developing a strategic vision and tactical product roadmaps.

  • Creating product and business requirements based on market analysis, business strategy and client needs in the aligned marketplace.

  • Finding opportunities; developing business plans, marketing strategy, pricing strategy, financial and transaction-based forecasts.

  • You work closely with Design, Product Delivery and Development to ensure requirements are interpreted correctly in detailed design specifications and in the construction of the product assigned. You consult with Product Marketing to develop launch plans, define marketing requirements and ensure key product collateral exists; i.e.: product guides, sales presentations, demo scripts, flash demos, feature comparisons, etc.

  • You validate and prioritize requirements including defining benefits and impacts of releases across the organization and for clients and sets and achieves subscriber, transactions, quality, revenue and profitability goals.

  • You will lead partnerships with key organizational partners, including executive leadership, sales, marketing, operations, finance, legal, etc. to ensure portfolio and business success.

  • Ensure the continuous improvement of the professional product management function, through investment in the people, process, technology, and measurement surrounding this function.

  • Performs other duties as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field required

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management.

  • Shown success in effectively leading products through key stages of the lifecycle.

  • Strong working knowledge of business financial practices, accounting and business case development, and ability to handle a P&L.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:


The successful Director, Product Management will:



  • Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in product management standards and practices (Agile, Scrum, Pragmatic Marketing) with particular appreciation for the end-to-end product management discipline.

  • Understand client needs and translate them into innovative product plans.

  • Effectively work with other organizational units and lead through influence.


THE SUCCESSFUL DIRECTOR, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT WILL HAVE:



  • Validated ability to understand complex business and technical concepts and make balanced judgements when faced with trade-offs.

  • Proficiency in completing tactical activities.

  • Strong analytical skills and able to build consensus.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the skills to interact at all levels of the organization and at all levels with clients from C-level to technical and operation levels.

  • Solid thought leadership and influencing others through collaborative efforts.

  • You can quickly establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of constituencies.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of management.

  • Strong results orientation with demonstrated track record of success.

  • A high degree of adaptability/flexibility.

  • You excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


TRAVEL REQUIRED:



  • Domestic travel as needed, up to 20% of the time


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:



  • MBA preferred

  • Experience working in the Banking or Credit Union industry is preferred

  • Product expertise with account processing solutions is a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
