Director, Communications - Electronic Payments

Position Description

What does a great Director, Communications for our Electronic Payments division do?


You will be a critical member of the Leadership Team responsible for providing strategic communication leadership and delivery for Digital Channels, Electronic Payments and Customer Solutions organizations. You will lead a small team of communication professionals who support client incident communication for the EPayments and Digital Channels BUs, product communication for the EPayments BU, division communication for EPayments and functional communication for Customer Solutions.


In this role, you can look forward to these essential responsibilities:



  • Work closely with corporate branding and communication on division level activities on behalf of the EPayments Senior Leadership Team for roadshows and monthly town halls.

  • Learn technical protocols around incidents inclusive of alerting, on-call routines, initial notifications, final restoration and root cause communications.

  • Understand related tools for all aspects of incidents at the corporate and division level.

  • Gain alignment and comprehension of branding standards, and protocol through a relational connection with corporate branding.

  • Assess current talent and make quick decisions on what is needed and take associated actions to build the talent reflective of the expected roles.


You?re the kind of person who:



  • Has strong technical communication experience with interpreting issues related to products and translating it into clear, concise client updates.

  • Has strong product communication experience relating to product releases.

  • Demonstrate experience working with corporate communications to ensure alignment with branding, messaging and delivery of content for divisional and functional audiences.

  • Demonstrates experience building and developing communication teams aligned with this role.

Basic qualifications for consideration:



  • Bachelor?s Degree

  • Minimum of 10 years significant hands-on experience leading strategic communication and delivery functions

  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated success in people management and talent development

  • Proven success in collaborating and driving improvement with senior level leadership in matrixed environment

  • Technical acumen and ability to understand product capabilities

  • Ability to travel up to 30%


Preferred qualifications for consideration:



  • Experience in the financial industry

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
