Sr Financial Analyst

To help us drive this transformation, we seek an intellectually curious professional with a big picture orientation and attention to detail to join our Enterprise Technology Group (ETG) Finance Team as a Senior Financial Analyst.


What does a great ETG Senior Financial Analyst do?


In this role, you will help position executives with the right financial information to effectively manage and communicate the value of technology services. Your focus will be on modeling, tracking and understanding the business drivers for technology spend requests, as well as providing decision support related to the right allocation mix of technology investments needed to ?run?, ?grow? and ?transform? the business. You will:



  • Provide financial direction to IT management, oversee approval process for technology spend commitment requests, and prepare standard financial schedules to clearly articulate the financial impact of technology investment decisions.

  • Perform moderate to complex financial analysis including conducting research and identifying, designing and implementing tools to fulfill business performance reporting and analysis needs. Runs various scenarios through models and interprets financial impact.

  • Work across and engage with IT service owners and business unit IT teams and executives to offer transparent quantitative analysis, qualitative business judgement, risk and opportunity assessments, develop key business metrics and support the governance of capital projects and their ongoing performance

  • Act as the liaison among business unit finance and technology leaders to analyze, communicate and validate business assumptions for technology spend requests; including pressure-testing business assumptions; and providing linkage and visibility into how each approved project will impact free cash flow and operational runrate costs

  • As requested, answers complex spend commitment request (SCR) questions related to new business and maintenance contract renewals for a variety of different technology platforms. Responsible for ensuring data integrity and accuracy of information provided to SCR questions.

  • Provides guidance and training to associate analysts and analysts on financial modeling, data extraction techniques, budgetary considerations, and recommends best practices on pulling and refining data. As needed provides explanation to team regarding intricate web of data and how assumptions on one program or project may impact other programs or projects that are not specifically in scope during an analysis.


To be successful in this role, you need the following qualifications for consideration:



  • BA/BS in finance, computer science, MIS, math or equivalent degree or work experience

  • Excellent ability to build collaborative partnerships with leaders and effectively translate their vision into actionable requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well to business partners across multiple organizational levels (both verbal and written)

  • 5 or more years of experience supporting technology services or financial management processes and practices including budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling, program portfolio management

  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting aggressive deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

  • A rich history of analytical and problem-solving skills, data modeling, business planning and ability to quickly comprehend complex spreadsheets, data, what-if and impact scenarios

  • Strong analytical and technical background including data mining and manipulation (pivots, lookups, macros, etc.).


Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:



  • Masters in Technology Management or MBA



  • Demonstrated experience with data center infrastructure technology cost management

  • Understanding of technology infrastructure domains including data centers, network/communications, server utilization, virtual environments, cybersecurity etc.

  • Experience in delivering actionable financial analytics that support cloud computing/migration business decisions

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
