Director, Security Architecture

Position Description

What does a great, Director, Security Architecture do at Fiserv?

You?ll focus on providing security architecture standards, governance, guidance, and design services to the global Fiserv organization. Additionally, you will be responsible and accountable for providing day-to-day oversight of security architects and provide technical security architectural specifications to protect the business services applications and supporting infrastructure.

You?ll possess strong cyber security expertise and depth, to lead, collaborate, and develop technical security architecture specifications and standards. Security architecture controls are required to meet the best security industry standards and applicable regulations appropriate to safeguard critical information assets, mitigating system exposure and risk. Works with the business to ensure security architecture requirements, guidance, and standards is embraced and deployed by all businesses and supporting infrastructure leaders across the enterprise. Position requires a solid grasp of ISO, NIST, GLBA, PCI, FFIEC and GDPR requirements. Experience with public cloud and identity is required.

-  develop and lead the development of security reference models, policies, standards, and governance while providing architectural direction and roadmap to technical partners across all technical environments

-  Lead, collaborate, and develop technical security architecture specifications and standards for all business environments and supporting infrastructure.

-  Evaluate current security architecture deployed and provide guidance and technical specifications on modifications to mitigate risk and the effectiveness of controls.

-  Provide domain expertise on action plans, leadership and governance in deploying architectural enhancements without impacting services.

-  Provide security architecture guidance to global business unit information security officers, chief information officers, risk, auditors and technical leaders.

-  Ability to design security capabilities into complex infrastructure and business applications.

-  Advise management on handling and minimizing threats. Stays informed on the latest developments at a global scale which may impact current systems

-  Develops future state architectural requirements and maintains roadmaps for all environments

Leads security architects in the Enterprise Cyber Security team

-  Monitors compliance and regulatory requirements to translate applicable elements into design requirements to implement

-  Ensure security architectural requirements are being adhered to; recommendations are embraced and deployed

-  Demonstrated an ability to work under stress/pressure to meet deliverables, timetables and deadlines.

Must have been a people leader for a minimum of three years

-  BS in computer science, information security, information technology or high school diploma/GED

-  Minimum 8 years? experience in a commercial IT global environment in a security architectural leadership role

-  Personal integrity and high ethical behavior at all times to encourage confidence in clients, peers, partners and employees.

-  Experienced knowledge of different infrastructure platforms, development lifecycles, networks, operating systems, sub-systems, and third-party controls to mitigate an evolving threat landscape using adaptable, diverse, layered security controls.

-  6+ years of recent security architectural role experience at a complex international organization

-  Experience building security architectural environments to mitigate risk and support business environments on a global level, not point solutions.

-  Ability to display interpersonal skills to collaborate with peers and business partners

-  Ability to train and coach colleagues to advance their progress of the security architectural vision, strategy and roadmap.

-  Ability to direct a team of security architects to ensure consistency across all businesses

-  Experience navigating complex business environments spanning multiple data centers and applications.

Proven understanding of cyber security threats, risks, vulnerabilities and attacks, to include threat actor motives, capabilities, and techniques, with the ability to mitigate through proven methods and new countermeasures

-  Ability to interface, influence and communicate with all levels of management, industry organizations, and clients

-  Demonstrated experience in leading a high performing team; strong developer of talent. Ability to attract/select/inspire/develop/manage talent within the organization.

-  Demonstrating an ability to work under stress/pressure to meet deliverables, timetables and deadlines.

-  Knowledge of ISO27000 series, NIST SP 800 series, NIST Cyber Security Framework, PCI, GLBA, HIPAA, HITRUST, and FIPS or other information security framework policies, procedures, guidelines, and methodologies desired.Travel Required:

Master?s or Doctorate degree is preferred.

Desire one or more industry InfoSec related certification(s) (i.e. CISSP, CISM)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
