Position Description

What does a great Director of Security do at Fiserv?

You'll lead the design, implementation and management of Network Security Services that support Fiserv?s commercial applications. Additionally you'll be responsible for defining and executing release plans to sustain and expand capabilities in concert with business needs and technology advances. This includes (but is not limited to) network firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other network security technologies.

You'll lead the team responsible for architecting and engineering the security infrastructure supporting commercial data centers. This includes the strategic planning, P&L management and organization management of those services.

Day-to-day activities will involve developing and implementing new services and capabilities in addition to sustaining current services. This role will provide leadership and technical oversight to projects to ensure that they meet design specifications and project schedules. This role is accountable for oversight of audit readiness and any remediation required for industry-related compliance including documentation.

The position has both strategic and tactical responsibilities for developing the team responsible for creating infrastructure solutions under stringent timeline constraints to meet needs of the business.

The role of Director, Network Security Engineering requires a strong strategic and technical leadership background with confirmed ability to work with internal and external customers and suppliers across multiple multi-functional teams and projects.

You're the kind of person who can:

-  Provide strategic direction for all commercial network security infrastructure efforts

-  Implement processes and management methods to produce operational excellence and cost effective services.

-  Plan and run budgets, forecasts, projects and associated staffing requirements.

-  Confer with and advise executives, user representatives, and technical personnel regarding overall service strategy and solutions.

-  Build business cases and run the technology roadmap to define the scope, benefits and metrics for the programs.

-  Work closely across the enterprise and with external partners to define and deliver high quality, efficient solutions.

-  Demonstrate deep commitment and ability to be very responsive to business needs and constraints, while also managing their expectations for realistic cost and timeliness for the solution delivery.

-  Effectively manage and balance trade-offs between technology and business requirements.

-  Demonstrate deep understanding of technology across platforms and vendors ? to be able to provide options for and build end-to-end integrated infrastructure solutions, including 3rd party products.

-  Demonstrate deep understanding and experience in technology solutions supporting a diverse technology footprint including high/continuous availability designs and regulatory compliance in support of high-performance, high-volume transactional systems.

-  Work with peer leaders for Portfolio and Demand Management, Project Management, Change Management, Release Management, and Governance to ensure the timely prioritization and engagement of resources to deliver business value.

-  Lead and direct managers and individual contributors, including the responsibilities of hiring, supervising, creating development plans, timely performance evaluations and coaching.

-  Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs evolve.

-  Ability to effectively lead and run a diverse team of network and security engineers

-  Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

-  Building strong interpersonal relationships, promoting a team-focused culture with strong shared goals & accountabilities, and influencing outcomes through leadership and persuasion

-  Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or high school diploma/GED

-  Minimum 10 years in the industry with most recent minimum of 5 years in people leadership/management role

-  Experience in assessing new opportunities and performing necessary due-diligence around technical, operational and financial impacts

-  Broad knowledge on industry Solutions

-  Minimum of 5 years leading a security engineering or infrastructure engineering team

-  Has successfully deployed and managed multi-vendor distributed systems infrastructure in a large and diverse environment

-  Experience with Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) concepts, requirements and capabilities

-  Demonstrable record of successfully executing to a strategic vision

-  Ability to structure, organize and optimize teams and individual associates

-  Strong budgeting and financial skills, detail-oriented

-  Negotiation and diplomacy skills for working with customers and vendors

-  Strong passion for technology and a ?hands on? approach

-  Works well in a collaborate environment and possesses a positive attitude

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
