As a Z/OS Mainframe Engineer, you can look forward to:¬  In this position you will work as a Systems Engineer in Mainframe Data Communications. You will follow standard practices and procedures to analyze, design, build, configure, test, debug, modify and implement z/OS system software to support the applications for our clients. The key objective of this position is for you to build the technical skill set necessary to provide our clients with complete, high quality support.


Basic qualifications for consideration:¬ 



  • Configure Communications Server components for the z/OS systems

  • Install, maintain and configure third party software

  • Collaborate work with Business Units (BUs) and ETG peers

  • Assist Engineering, Operations Support, and Business Units as necessary in solving issues, including root cause determination

  • Provide off-hours support on a rotating basis (this position is eligible for on-call pay program)

  • Attend and participate in ongoing project meetings as necessary

  • Documentation of work


Preferred qualifications for consideration:¬ 



  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol

  • Experience with z/OS

  • Good communications and writing skills

  • Experience with MS office product

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
